There is a known issue that can rarely occur if you have multiple sessions of TransMagic running (this can also occur if you close down TransMagic and then launch it again quickly, before the process has completely stopped). The key indicators that you have this problem are that you recognize you may have had multiple sessions running, you cannot open any part, and the TransMagic screen may not open automatically; you may have to open it from the Task Bar.
The fix is to:
1. Make sure TransMagic is not running.
2. Ctrl+Alt+Del to launch Task Manager, and if you see the TransMagic application running, kill it.
3. Open the Registry (click the Start button and type Regedit; if you are not comfortable editing the registry, get an IT person to do it for you). Delete the TransMagic R12 sp2 hive, found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TransMagic\TransMagic\Apps\TransMagic R12 sp2. (See screenshot below). Please note that even in the future, if the release is TransMagic R14, the same process should hold true; go to TransMagic > TransMagic > Apps and delete the next hive that starts with the word 'TransMagic'.
4. Reboot the machine.
5. Launch TransMagic, go to Settings and click on Reset All Settings To Defaults.
