Our license management vendor was forced to make changes to their platform causing license issues starting the afternoon of February 11, 2025, which caused a licensing communication error.
This is a permanent fix for this support incident by copying the Digital Certificate to the TransMagic /bin folder. The copy process will ask you to overwrite the existing file which is required to complete the process correctly.
You can find the Digital Certificate at the bottom of this article.
Here is where to find the /bin folder to put the Digital Certificate into:
C:\Program Files\TransMagic Inc\TransMagic R14 SP2\System\code\bin
Depending on which build of TransMagic you have installed, your path may be different.
Important Update: The Failed to Communicate with TransMagic License Server issue can have other causes. As of 14.20.600, this error message does not require installing a new certificate. If you get the Failed to Communicate with TransMagic License Server, and you have 14.20.600 or later, contact TransMagic License Support at license@TransMagic.com.
NOTE: You will need Administrative Rights to put this file into the /bin folder.
Also NOTE: The TransMagicR14.00.000 build does not seem to work with the new certificate. We suggest you download R14 SP1 or SP2 from https://transmagic.com/download/ and use one of those versions instead.
Due to changes at Flexera, we have had to issue this fix. This is a permanent fix. We apologize for any inconvenience.
